Tendil — Privacy Policy

Tendil ("Tendil", "we", "us") is a calm, energy-aware to-do app. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. Tendil is a productivity tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical or clinical advice.

1. Who we are

Tendil is operated by Vastorb. For any privacy request, contact support@vastorb.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address, used to create and secure your account.
• Your content — the tasks you type or speak. When you capture by voice, the audio recording is sent for transcription, then processed into tasks. Task text is sent to our AI provider to split it into tagged tasks.
• Usage signals — the energy level you select, task completions, and your reminder (nudge) preferences and quiet hours, used to surface the right tasks and time reminders.
• Device push token — to deliver reminder notifications.
• Diagnostics & analytics — app events (e.g. a task captured or completed), crash and error reports, device/OS type, and timezone, used to keep the app reliable and understand retention. We do not use advertising identifiers.
• Purchase status — whether you have an active subscription. Payments are handled by Apple/Google; we never receive your card details.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the core service: capture, parse, organize, surface, and remind you of tasks.
• To transcribe voice captures and turn dumps into discrete tasks.
• To send the reminders you enable, honoring your quiet hours.
• To keep the app stable (crash/error monitoring) and improve it (aggregate analytics).
• To manage your subscription and account.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Service providers (sub-processors)

We share data only as needed with providers who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, storage, and backend functions.
• OpenAI — converts your task text into tasks and transcribes voice captures. Audio and text are sent for processing.
• Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging) — delivers push notifications.
• ZeptoMail (Zoho) — sends account emails (confirmation, password reset).
• PostHog — product analytics and error tracking.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — process subscription payments.

5. Voice recordings

Voice capture is optional. When used, audio is sent to our transcription provider to produce text; we keep what's needed to create your tasks. You can always type instead.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and content while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records (e.g. for legal or tax reasons).

7. Your rights & choices

• Access, correct, or delete your data — email support@vastorb.com.
• Turn reminders on/off and set quiet hours in the app.
• Disable notifications or microphone access in your device settings.
• Depending on your region (e.g. EEA/UK/India/California), you may have additional rights such as portability or objection.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted per-user, and secrets are stored server-side only. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Children

Tendil is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than yours by the providers listed above, with appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; we'll post the new date here and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
